It is always interesting to hear about the cheating escapades of the rich and famous especially when their discovery appeared to have humbled them in some way. Their public confessions and apologies somehow manage to bring them down to the level of the common and ordinary people. For a while, everything was equalized, until they recover and go back to their usual selves and their privileged lifestyles.
Why would rich and famous cheaters think for one moment that they are beyond reproach? It's because they are allowed to do so most of the time. Tolerance of wrongdoings to a certain extent by people around them tend to reinforce their belief that they are indeed exempt from the rules and laws that govern people. They actually look surprised when they are asked to answer for their misdeeds and may try to use their privileges to wiggle out of predicaments they find themselves into.
Let's face it, the rich and famous have more opportunities coming their way including cheating opportunities. Sexual favors are being offered to them left and right because of the attraction which their wealth and fame brings. Some even consider it their privilege to have provided such "services".
These cheaters cheat because they think that by virtue of what they have and represent, they are entitled to it. Some even display their trophies in the form of equally high-profile mistresses. Most cheaters who are in exceptionally advantageous positions cheat because they can. Without no real obstacle, they see no reason not to cheat. And for some, that is enough.
