Many men have killed in the name of love or at least in trying to prove exclusive right to a woman. A man who approves of sharing his wife in the sexual sense is quite uncommon that confirming it provokes comments of perversion or loose morals. Society in general, has a hard time understanding why a man would take a woman for marriage and then tolerate if not encourage her sexual relations with another man.
Some men have discovered perhaps to their own surprise, that discovering a cheating wife can heighten sexual desire instead of anger in them. Instead of entertaining violent thoughts of revenge, these men felt an unexplainable feeling of excitement and thrill at the thought of their wives cavorting with other men. Uncommon but true.
The fact that a good number of men indulge in this true-to-life fantasy has been explained by psychologists as a deep-seated need for something exciting to happen in the relationship. Another explanation is the thrill previously experienced in watching sexually-explicit shows which is carried over in later life as a thrill on being an observer in the sexual acts of another. Having the wife as a participant tends to add to the over-all excitement.
Not all men who indulge in this fantasy would be willing to reveal their inner feelings. Some will just pretend that they don't have any knowledge of their partner's cheating activities. It appears that acknowledging infidelity removes part of the thrill that surrounds it. A man who experiences gratification in having a cheating wife will not provide outright approval so as not to destroy the mystery.
