Seasonal Cheating

Does the season affect in any way the prevalence of cheating? Apparently it does as evidenced by statistics showing an increased number of infidelity cases during summer. Also often referred to as summer flings, husbands with roving eyes take the opportunity to cheat while conveniently sending their wife and children to much anticipated vacations.

In order to accomplish his objective, a cheating husband would have to have a solid alibi not to accompany his family in the trip. This can be done through a legitimate business or work related trip elsewhere as well as an exclusive "boys-only" leisure trip with his friends. The wife will not even think of suggesting to accompany her husband since his trip is either strictly business or male company. This leaves the husband free to do his thing while his family is away.

It is ironic that cheated wives sent out on enjoyable vacations feel gratitude to their husbands, not knowing that their preoccupation allows their husbands to find enjoyment in the arms of other women. Some wives may even feel guilt, believing that their husbands had to slave it our for work while they enjoy themselves. Little did they know that their husbands were having the time of their lives.

A legitimate business trip is always an excellent cover for infidelity especially if the lover is a workmate. It removes the need to justify their being together. When suspicious spouses start investigating, they would hardly find anything out of the ordinary since the cheating spouse and the third party have every reason to be together in the trip. Doubting spouses will have to be more resourceful in finding proof of infidelity.

Infidelity during the summer season has nothing to do with the temperature but everything to do about opportunity. Cheating spouses are given all the freedom they want if they are able to distance family without arousing suspicions. Thus, think twice before going on that trip without your husband, especially if he appears too eager or relieved to get rid of you and the children at a particular time.
