Bringing Home the Illegitimate Child

Faithful wives sometimes have to go through more challenges even after an extramarital affair of the cheating husband has been successfully cut-off. An affair that has produced an illegitimate child is painful enough for most cheated wives. It can be more painful however if by some stroke of fate, the cheated wife is placed in a situation where she has to take care of a child of her husband's mistress right in her own home.

There may be unexpected reasons why cheating husbands would choose to bring home an illegitimate child to their legal spouses. The foremost reason is usually to be able to fully provide for the physical well-being of the child especially in instances where staying with the mistress may prove detrimental to the child. The inability of the mistress to take care of the child for health reasons or due to death is also a pressing reason for cheating husbands to consider what is unthinkable in most situations - bringing home an illegitimate child.

The presence of an illegitimate child in the legal family's home can be quite stressful to all concerned including the father, the spouse, and the legitimate children. Although children are blameless in this kind of situation, it is impossible to completely shield them from the pain and hurt that accompanies the difficult circumstances brought upon them by their cheating parents. Cheating husbands should take into account the welfare of all children affected in the unusual set-up and strive to guide them towards accepting the situation. This can only be done with the help of cheated wives since most children take their cue from parents in their manifested reaction.
